Founded in 2013, Stella’s Child exists to support Indonesian youths from deeply disadvantaged backgrounds as they prepare to leave children's homes and orphanages and enter the world of work. We equip these youths, aged 12-19, with the skills they need to succeed in life and break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.
We are an efficient and effective grassroots organization. Our innovative, interlinked programs provide the life skills, real-world business experience and employment connections necessary to access job opportunities they would otherwise be denied.
Too many disadvantaged youths enter the Indonesian workforce underprepared and under-skilled. Through our business-minded approach to positive youth development, we help young people rediscover their dreams or create new ones, then work with them to develop the necessary experience to make them real.
Our Entrepreneurship program enables participants to learn business by doing business. We then connect participants with highly skilled mentors and forward-thinking companies looking for talent. All of this enables these youths to succeed on their own terms, through their own abilities.
Supporting Stella's Child is an investment in the potential of the children we work with and in the future of Indonesia.
